A morning conference named Canada’s Talent Abroad: A World of Opportunity for Canadian Business, will take place Friday, January 14th, 2011 in the Ontario Legislature at Queen’s Park in Toronto.
The focus of the conference will be the millions of Canadians who live and work abroad. Many of these Canadians are highly skilled and connected to the world’s fastest growing economies. In an interconnected world, these people are in a unique position to help build our economy. Expatriates are not a loss to our national economy; rather, they are an untapped resource, lost to Canada because we make little effort to harness their skills. How can we change this? The panel will discuss the potential economic benefits of connecting to Canadians abroad, and strategies to do so.
The conference organized under Action Canada, a national program that brings together emerging Canadian leaders to work on major public policy issues.
The conference is open to the public and is free. We hope that you will join us.
